200 cases submitted to UN linking settlements and detention

[June 2015] - Today, MCW lodged a submission with the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. The evidence includes the cases of 200 minors detained by the Israeli military in the West Bank between 2013 and 2015.

US State Department's Human Rights Report for 2014

[June 2015] - The US State Department recently published its annual global report on human rights for 2014. The report includes a section on Israel/Palestine and an examination of the treatment of minors detained by the Israeli military and prosecuted in military courts.

UK lawyers' report - 3 years on

[June 2014] - This week marks three years since a delegation of UK lawyers published the report - Children in Military Custody (the Report). The Foreign Office funded report reviewed how children are treated in Israel's military detention system taking into account both the legal framework and practice.

UN Secretary-General's report to the Security Council considers child detention

[June 2015] - On 15 June 2015, the UN Secretary-General's Annual Report on Children and Armed Conflict was presented to the Security Council in New York. The report highlights global trends regarding the impact of armed conflict on children in 23 locations including Israel/Palestine.

UK watchdog finds G4S is violating human rights obligations towards Palestinians

[June 2015] - Today, the UK National Contact Point (NCP) for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (OECD Guidelines) published a finding that the British security firm, G4S, is currently violating three human rights obligations under the OECD Guidelines arising from its contracts to provide security services in Israel and Palestine.
