At the end of June 2017, there were 318 Palestinian children held as 'security prisoners' in Israeli prisons. 74% of children were detained inside Israel in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. Also in this issue: update on evidence of reported ill-treatment; article in Haaretz newspaper on child arrests and night raids in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar; Bill introduced in US Congress seeking to prevent US funding for Israel's detention of Palestinian children; a child's testimony - legal rights continue to be ignored; and a soldier's testimony - the army's weekly routine in the West Bank is placed on hold during a visit by a US Secretary of State.
